Exploring Watercolors 3-Day Art Camp June 18-20 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Students will spend all three days exploring various watercolor techniques. Using brushes, pencils, and crayons they will gain understanding in brush strokes, color mixing, wet on wet, dry brush, and splashing. We will focus on balance, composition, proportion and shading. Students will take home numerous small works of art. Projects will be individualized based on age and level of experience.Ages 8-18 Mixed Media Art Class - Make a 3D Flower Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 10:30 - 11:30 am $25, all supplies included In this class, taught by resident artist Alicia Scolarici, you will learn to combine, fabric, paper and paint to make an adorable 3D flower in the style of Alicia Scolarici. All supplies are included, and you will get to take home your own art! Open to all ages. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a renowned local artist! Scolarici has successfully exhibited her works in solo shows locally at the Abbey (Belleville), Café Dolce fare Niente (O’Fallon), Borders Bookstore, Missouri Athletic Club of St Louis, the Louvre in O’Fallon, and internationally at a venue in Mildenhall, England. She was a presenting artist at the St James Court Art Show in Louisville KY, the nation's number one rated art venue. 3-Day Art Camp with Jacque Wind Clinton June 18-20, 2014 Paper Mache Class from 10:00 - 12:30 pm AND Exploring Watercolors Class from 2:30 - 4:30 pm $55, all supplies included PAPER MACHE CLASS Explore the art of paper mache in this 3-day art camp with artist Jackie Wind Clinton. Students will delve into 3-dimensional design using paper mache. You will spend 3 days designing, constructing and painting your sculpture. Open to ages 8-18. All supplies included. Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm $30 Learn the art of soap making and make 2 premium bars of soap to take home in this class taught by resident artist, Becky Ripplemeyer of Heirloom Soaps. Becky has been making natural soaps for 15 years. In this basic soap class, Becky will share her knowledge, so that you can make your very own homemade soap created entirely from scratch, with food-grade vegetable oils. All materials are included and you will take home two of your very own handmade soaps. Older clothing or an apron suggested. Heirloom Soaps are handmade in the studio at the Tiadaghton House.
