We have so much new art at Tiadaghton House! Stop in to see what's in store!
We recently received 3 small shipments of art nouveau tiles from sources in England, France, and Uraguay -- these are all original English majolica tiles circa 1900-1905 -- very hard to find the good ones -- took me about 4 weeks to locate and pull this collection together. The other photo shows an outstanding small collection of pink Rookwood handled cabinet vases from the 1920s. I'm a pottery guy and I don't like pink, but let me tell you, this is a great little collection!!! Welcome to our newest local artist, Michele Rowe from right here in Lebanon, IL! Michele does art photography prints and cards, influenced by her early childhood experiences in southern Italy. She has a great eye for blending bold subject matter, color and light... When Holly describes her work to people, she always says, "I feel like I can walk right into her pictures...." We like Michele and her work very much and we're so glad to feature her at the Tiadaghton House. Sandi Sweeney continues to amaze us with her whimsically creative gourd art. The "Clarence Family" of penguins has taken root and she reports that elders, babies and teens are now ready for adoption! Come take a look....
